Training Continues…

So last year during the Powderhorn 24, I inadvertently left my Edge 705 computer running the whole time, and it ran out of juice somewhere around 5:00 a.m. And then decided that the Powertap was at-fault for this and that they were no longer on speaking terms. I haven’t really bothered to try to solve that fiasco until last night.

Getting the two of them talking in the first place was tough. And now it’s been almost six years — between the failure of my own memory and the time horizon of Google Fu, there’s nothing out there that tells me what my next steps are. Best I can figure, I need to do a completely hard reset of the Edge, which I’ll try tonight before my ride. If that doesn’t pan out, then fuckit, I’ll ride without power data for another night while I continue to bash my face into a wall.

Short-Term Agenda

Tuesday: Endurance (E2) Ride, Zones 1 and 2, mixed. 90 minutes.
Wednesday: Weights, Max Transition. 3 sets, 10 reps, at 88% of 1RM.
Thursday: Rest
Friday: Spin-Ups Endurance (S1) Ride, Zones 1 and 2, mixed. 90 minutes.
Saturday: Weights, Max Transition. 3 sets, 10 reps, at 88% of 1RM.

Feelings

So far, so good, for my first year in a long time of trying to train. I’ve been pretty good about the weights thus far, but not as good about the bike time. That’s changing this week, with a lot more stationary rides in my future. Can’t complain, but can’t really be super-excited yet.
