Before I come up with my 2026 resolutions, it probably makes sense to revisit last year’s list, which was short:
- Have a new job no later than March 30th.
- Functional Threshold Power over 300, body weight below 185.
- Get way WAY better at managing the use of my time.
- Go back to therapy.
So, looking back, I didn’t do too badly. First off, I did get a job offer (and accepted it) on March 30th, and started on April 21st, which was awesome. I also got better at time management, and went back to therapy as well.
The bike thing? Yeeeeeah. Not so much. I barely got any riding time in, given the new house, parenting, new job, etc. I’m looking to change that up for 2026, though.
The Actual Resolutions for 2026
- Clean-up my finances.
- Get at least 3000 miles in on the bike this year.
That’s it. Short, simple, easy-to-pursue.
