The agenda for this month was to keep hammering at the 101 Things in 1001 Days. I’ve been making a ton of progress in it lately, but I also knew with the start of the holiday season I was going to be pressed for time, so I targeted two particular tasks:
- Get my next tattoo. (#43)
- PCAP Certification prep. (#
In the end, it was too much, especially with everything else I had going in the month. Oh well. Here’s the jist of it:
✅ Get Next Tattoo
This was one that took far too long — I was working on developing an app to generate new Heptapod-B logograms, but that stalled pretty badly, so I opted for one of the pre-existing ones from the film that spoke to me. WIN.
✅ PCAP Certification Prep
Crushed the prep work this month. Going to spend December studying, so that I can ace the test when I take it. WIN.
Minor/Other Accomplishments/101 Things
- Helped Eddy manage the late switch in math classes during his first trimester.
- Blasted through the Alan Moore course on storytelling on BBC Maestro.
- Busted out a kludgy little WordPress plugin to color the top part of the browser, using the
<meta name="theme-color" content="">tag. Worked out really nicely. - Bought a drone.
- Snagged a snowblower.
- Hosted Thanksgiving.
Reading
I’ve been continuing to chug along this month, and am on-track for one of my most productive years (reading-wise) in the last 20 years.
